The Mabrey family has been affiliated with the bank since the early 1900's, when Carlisle Mabrey, Sr. was a teller and assistant cashier at the bank. He later owned and operated a cotton gin in Okmulgee. In 1948, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank. In 1966, Carlisle Mabrey, Jr. was able to purchase a controlling interest in the bank and he became President and Chairman of the Board that same year. W. Carlisle Mabrey III joined the bank in 1972 and is currently President/CEO and has held this position since 1978. Bruce Mabrey, Executive Vice President, joined the bank in 1971; John Mabrey, Executive Vice President, joined in 1981; Marilyn Mabrey Sulivant, Senior Vice President, joined in 1983; Carlisle Mabrey IV, Senior Vice President, joined in 1999; and Scott Mabrey, Senior Vice President, joined in 2001. Lurline Rains Mabrey was elected Chairman of the Board in 1991.

Citizens Bank moved to its current Okmulgee location, 101 E. 6th, in 1906. The circa 1884 two-story stone structure lies in the heart of downtown Okmulgee and is a cornerstone of stability in the community. Renovations to the downtown area have restored the early days' atmosphere of Main Street. A meticulously restored façade now enhances the beauty of the building, originally constructed of stone from locally quarried sandstone, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This visual legacy of growth and development, with its colorful striped awnings and bright red begonias outside the front door, reflects the unique and charming atmosphere of Okmulgee's Main Street. The warm and genuine folks inside are quick to cheerfully greet customers by name as they enter.

Citizens Security Bank & Trust Company was founded in 1924 by the Brown family. Ivan Brown, a local Bixby businessman and Harvard graduate, was the official founder and served as the first bank president. Ivan's term was followed by George Brown, Pauline Boatmun, and then Homer Paul. CSB has been serving the Bixby and South Tulsa area with the same name and local ownership for over 80 years!

In 1994, CSB was purchased by our previous President and CEO, Homer Paul, in partnership with the Mabrey family from Okmulgee. On July 15, 2004, pursuant to their agreement 10 years prior, the Mabreys purchased Homer's interest in the bank to take over full ownership and management. The two banks began operating as one under the Citizens Security Bank name on January 1, 2005.

CSB has full service banking facilities in Bixby, Glenpool, Broken Arrow, South Tulsa, Okmulgee, Haskell, and Muskogee along with a wide network of ATMs. On August 25, 2008, the Bank of Commerce located in Wetumka and Weleetka joined CSB. Also, plans to build another branch in Jenks are underway, with a temporary location now open at 224 N. 6th Street. Our bank's asset size is $488 million and we have over 200 dedicated, experienced employees providing professional services to over 25,000 customers. CSB's main headquarters is a beautiful 22,000 square foot facility located in Bixby at 148th and Memorial. The building, completed in 1999, has been featured in numerous publications as a trendsetter for the banking industry. The Operations Center was added onto the Main Bank facility in late 2007. It is approximately 10,000 square feet and houses back office operations.
